Punk Life? reflects the punk community and is taken from the point of view of the subculture itself. Artistically it attempts to reflect punk art. For example, throughout the years punk ideology has intended to shock audiences through the use of loud music along with politically and violently offensive images. Bands, such as the Sex Pistols have mutilated the appearance of Queen Elizabeth to express their disdain for the current social structure on the album cover for “God Save the Queen”. Punk music is also politically charged and contains profanities accompanying the hard, fast and loud rock music. Like punk art, Punk Life? is a loud piece containing profanities and violent images.

Through the use of a surround sound system, images and people the installation simulates a punk concert. For example, if it is shown in a classroom, two performance actors are hired to imitate a ticket taker and vendor selling merchandise in order to transform the space. However, if it is shown in a club or theater the ticket taker and vendor already exist and do not need to be hired.
